GMC × STEM Innovation 2016

Event report

On March 19th and 20th, Sony Global Education held the first Global Math Challenge x STEM Innovation in Tokyo. Just over 400 children and parents gathered to enter the math contest and take part in a wide range of different workshops.

Parents and educators from Saitama University took part in talk sessions on the future of STEM education, while children also tried their hands at quiz battles using apps, coding classes, logic puzzle contests and 3D printing.

We were delighted to bring together people of all ages for a fun day where both parents and their children could get excited about developing skills needed for 21st-century education.

Sony Global Education will be holding more fun events in the future – keep an eye on our site or sign up for our newsletter to keep up to date with all the latest.

The next Global Math Challenge takes place in November and it’s free to take part. Sign up today and Meet the World Through Math.
