Creating a new educational infrastructure for a connected society
In a world where global standards have arrived in almost all fields, education remains one of the few areas that often remains fragmented; compartmentalized nationally and regionally.
The Internet has given us the ability to understand the educational needs of these different countries and regions throughout the world. Identifying how we can meet and bring those together needs through STEM* fields gives us the chance to unite education into a globally recognized form.
Our mission is to create range of services that makes this a possibility and to inspire a passion for learning right across the world.
Easy to use on desktop or mobile, smartphone or tablet, our services have been designed with access in mind, whether you have the fastest online connection or something a little more modest. We believe that everyone should be able to access high quality online educational services that inspire learners of all ages, no matter where they are.
Beyond that, we truly believe in providing global services – where learners can interact, share and enjoy new educational experiences with people from all over the world.
- KOOV – the connected robotics kit for tomorrow’s innovators
- Global Math Challenge – A bi-annual contest of logical thinking
Working with our educational partners in The USA, China and Japan has helped to give us local knowledge and expertise in a range of different fields.
We are proud to be a partner of the Global STEM Alliance of the New York Academy of Sciences, helping to empower the next generation of STEM innovators. In China we are working with the Beijing Gifted & Talented Education Technology Center to help motivate and excite young learners, as well as several other partners – the Capital Normal University RCMET, 17zuoye.com, Beijing Knowbox Science, Inc., etc. In Japan, we have partnered with the Japan Prime Math Olympic Committee to help develop world class content.
Global Math Challenge in March 2015 saw these partnerships come together for the first time; students in schools from the USA, China, Singapore, Australia, and Spain took part, alongside thousands of young learners from preparatory schools in Japan and China as well as thousand more math fans from right across the globe.
We are always looking to meet new people who share our passion for STEM and global education – please feel free to contact us to talk about how we can work together.
Recent developments in technology have given us the opportunity to embrace educational opportunities almost anywhere in the world. Even so, it is still not easy to fulfil the demands that arise from such a diverse range of people.
The world is facing new issues every day and we believe that science and technology will play a big part in solving these problems. In order to help, we believe that it is necessary to have an infrastructure where learners can share their ideas and inspirations and learn to help one another along the way. By developing a creative, innovative service we can help to develop creative, pro-active learners too. We see the establishment of such a new infrastructure as being vital in the development of the future stages of education.
Sony Global Education will use innovative technology to help create solutions for the diverse educational needs of people of all ages right across the globe.
